At Santa Cruz US Animal Control we specialize in removing Animals and wildlife from your attics and properties. We locate your animals entrance, get the offending critter out, then we seal the entrance. When we remove an animal from you house we GUARANTEE the animal will not be able to return to your house. 90% of our work id done through exclusion, this means closing of areas animals can enter.
Animal Exclusion is the best HUMANE way to get rid of animals Permanently. Many Of Santa Cruz's Creatures Are Raccoons Squirrels And Rats. We are frequently excluding raccoons from chimneys and attics, and rats from ceilings. We never use poison or killing style traps.

Santa Cruz Animal Control Trapping & Santa Cruz Critter Removal
Santa Cruz Snake Removal & Santa Cruz Snake Trappping
If we have to set traps we only set live traps like the one pictured to the right. This trap allows the animal to enter in search of food , get caught , and be removed from the property without being harmed. This trap is safe to set because it cannot hurt the animal and also it cannot hurt any little kid fooling around with it. We take great pride in placement, this keeps the trap hidden from public eye, and keeps a trapped animal safe and not stressed. Groundhogs and wood chucks are living under the porch, trapping and concrete exclusions can solve your problems.

When you have a wildlife company come out to your home they are just like any other contractor. You should ask them for a certificate of insurance and make sure that the letter comes from the company itself, not the contractor. Many contractors buy insurance and when they get a copy of the certificate of insurance they cancel the insurance and just show the homeowner the now false certificate. Unfortunately this happens quite frequently and the best way to combat this is to simply get it from the certifying company. We are insured up to one million dollars and our certificates come directly from the insurance company.
Another area of concern is the warrantee. Some company do not even offer any warrantees on their bat and flying squirrel work. some offer 2 years and that's it. We offer a 2-5 year warrantee on all of our work. I have had other companies say that 5 years is not reasonable and too far fetched. If I am willing to put the warrantee on all of our work, how can that be unreasonable and the only one who benefits from that is you, the home owner. My way of thinking is that if the animals get back in then the job isnt done. This is why I do not use any black foam, it breaks down with the ultra violet rays of the sun and in 5-10 years your right back to where you started. I use only paintable clear silicone which lasts 35 yrs at least. it goes on white and dries clear so you never even know its there. The trick to an exclusion is to have it be affective, be virtually invisible and last for 35 years. anything else is unacceptable.
One of the biggest pests in the wildlife industry is the flying squirrel. while they are very very cute, they are also very annoying and frustrating and one of the hardest pests to get rid of. flying squirrels have the intelligence of rats and almost the ability of bats to squeeze into small spaces. How hard are they to get rid of? 75% of all jobs I do, my customer has already had another company or companies try to get rid of them. I have a 90% success rate the first attempt and 100% thereafter. I say thereafter because if the flying squirrels get back in I come back out at no charge and get them back out and start the warrantee all over again from the beginning.
Flying squirrels learn from there mistakes and if they get back in they can become even more difficul to deal with. I have sen them build bridges across glue boards to get to the bait. when gray squirrels are getting in around vinyl siding soffets the flying squirrels chew holes to make it easier to get in. Flying squirrels will most times just slide in like it is a trap door, making it even harder to find their entry way. Once the flying squirrels go out the one way door they comb every square inch of the building for another way back in. they usually dont go below six feet but once in awhile the flying squirrels do go lower. Anyone can exclude flying squirrels out but it takes a true expert to keep them out and keep them out.
Many people get frustrated the second time around because they have already sealed up all the holes they think the flying squirrels can get back into. now the flying squirrels have found an entrance that the other companies cant find. this is what separates the experienced from the inexperienced. It took me many many nights of sitting on roof tops with night sights to discover what the flying squirrels are capable of. I can tell you from many years of experienced that flying squirrels are capable of quite a bit. give us a call, we will not fail and I have never lost to an animal.

Dear TIm,
I very much enjoyed speaking with you on the phone about the animal problem in my ceiling. You not only explained how your company works, but the fact that you close up any potential entry areas and guarantee your work made me feel I had chosen the right company.
Your technician, Russell, politely called ahead to let me know when he would arrive within the time window we had predetermined. Upon arrival, Russell surveyed my raccoon and squirrel problem, then explained to me how he was going to handle it. He was very thorough and maintained phone contact with me to keep apprise of the situation. Additionally, he made several trips back to check the progress and then finish the job.
He also pointed out that my kitchen exhaust had no cover on it, and he took care of that issue as well. Which was very helpful, because I would have felt awful if I had accidentally smoked a nest of baby birds.
Thank you for your service. I will certainly recommend your company to anyone I know who has a wild animal control animal issue. Thank again.
