At Wilmington US Animal Control we specialize in removing Animals and wildlife from your attics and properties. We locate your animals entrance, get the offending critter out, then we seal the entrance. When we remove an animal from you house we GUARANTEE the animal will not be able to return to your house. 90% of our work id done through exclusion, this means closing of areas animals can enter.
Animal Exclusion is the best HUMANE way to get rid of animals Permanently. Many Of Wilmington's Creatures Are Raccoons Squirrels And Rats. We are frequently excluding raccoons from chimneys and attics, and rats from ceilings. We never use poison or killing style traps.

Wilmington Animal Control Trapping & Wilmington Critter Removal
Wilmington Snake Removal & Wilmington Snake Trappping
If we have to set traps we only set live traps like the one pictured to the right. This trap allows the animal to enter in search of food , get caught , and be removed from the property without being harmed. This trap is safe to set because it cannot hurt the animal and also it cannot hurt any little kid fooling around with it. We take great pride in placement, this keeps the trap hidden from public eye, and keeps a trapped animal safe and not stressed. Groundhogs and wood chucks are living under the porch, trapping and concrete exclusions can solve your problems.

Handling wild animals, even the cutest little babies, requires precaution. To protect yourself and the animal, always wear gloves. Handle only when necessary, with gloves, and wash hands after each handling. Keep all animals in a dark, quiet location.
The most important aspect of getting rid of squirrels in the attic is
to first do a thorough attic inspection. While performing an attic
inspection for squirrels such as grey squirrels, flying squirrels or
red squirrels, you want to look for gaps along the soffit vents and
gable vents to locate any possible squirrel entry points. Other areas
that squirrels might enter are from the roof. These entry points could
be attic fans; attic vents, ridge vents, bathroom vents and any type
of pipe that could give access to squirrels into the attic.
Once you have located a gap that the squirrels are getting into the
attic, it is important not to stop your attic inspection there. In
many cases there are secondary entry points, and in severe squirrel
attic infestations, there could multiple entry points. During the
inspection process if you are not a wildlife professional, you want to
look for any type of squirrel droppings, squirrel hair; squirrel
nesting material and any chewed wires will be leading indicators of a
squirrel infestation in the attic.
Grey Squirrel dropping can be located in areas called latrines, which
are areas that squirrels designate as the area the use the restroom.
The droppings are much bigger than mouse dropping and vary in shapes
and sizes. They are the size of a pea and are also round like a pea
with a dark brown color. If you find evidence of these droppings it is
important to get a sample and put it in a zip lock baggy to be
identified by a squirrel removal specialist. It might also be helpful
to use the Google Images Tab and search for gray squirrel droppings or
grey squirrel scat.
An integral part of a good wildlife inspection is to look for any
animal hairs which could help identify if you are looking for a Norway
Roof Rat, house mouse, flying squirrel, raccoon, opossum or grey
squirrel. A gray squirrel hair is wavy and has white, tan, grey and
block patterns in it. They usually are approximately an inch long and
can be found at entry points and in squirrel nests.
Not only are squirrels in the attic annoying to homeowners but the
biggest problem is that squirrels living in an attic are a safety
issue. It has been estimated that 40 percent of unknown attic
electrical fires are from rodents, which most likely would be the grey
squirrel because of their destructive habits.rm damage claims for wildlife. Repairs are warranted for your protection and decontamination services also available.
Wildlife is handled as little as possible and exposure to sights and sounds of humans is limited. Respect of these rules is most appreciated. Wild babies have special nutritional needs. To give them the best chance of survival, let an experienced, licensed rehabilitator raise them. Wildlife control is specialty and skilled work, and not something to expect a government agency to take care of.
Wildlife can also be carriers of disease such as rabies, distemper and many other serious diseases.
